Lost Heart in King Manor by Celeste Fenton is an excellent story that will have readers enthralled from the start. Readers will be pulled into a world of mystery and drama, with a high dose of romance to seal the deal. 

Gabby Heart’s cozy and quiet life unravels when her mother suffers a health crisis and must be taken into King’s Manor, a medical facility for elder care. It all sounds perfect and ideal, but can this all be too good to be true? Strange incidents begin to transpire, causing dark secrets to be exposed within the Manor’s walls, turning this supposed haven into a perilous nightmare. Moreover, Gabby’s pulled into a world of love, somewhere she’s been painfully before. She must trust her instincts once again, as she learns that looks can be deceiving. Two men want her heart, but only one wants it for true love, while the other has more malicious motives. A dashingly handsome countenance can be a blessing and a curse. 

Fenton brings this story to life through her wonderfully descriptive writing, pulling the reader in and having them gripped as the tension builds throughout the pages. The pacing is excellent as it allows time for the characters to be established. Throughout this story, you will enjoy meeting these various interesting characters, as each is in a class of their own, each displaying their unique quirks whilst maintaining an assured realism.

The clever expressive details fashion a vivid and immersive experience for readers with the mysterious and romantic developments taking place. The atmosphere generates a suspenseful slow-burn touch developed through the settings, situations, and set-ups themselves as if they are another character hiding in the story, yet to be contemplated. This is brilliant writing which has been cleverly conceptualized from the start to finish. For readers who love mysteries that have depth, eccentric characters, clever writing and a solid plot that comes together as a roguishly designed tapestry ending with a satisfying conclusion as they realize that this story has been much more than just a simple mystery glazed with romance and suspense

Long with the intelligence is creating such an outstanding thought-provoking story, you can sense the fun Celeste Fenton had with developing this story, making it initially cozy and unassuming, only to deepen the mystery, indicating that something much more sinister is brewing. An exciting plot twist will keep you guessing and entice you to the very end of this first instalment. Romance trickles in amidst the drama and tension, adding a level of seduction and magical allure to tantalize the readers. 

 Lost Heart in King Manor is a wonderful read which is perfect for romantic thrill-seekers and readers who see themselves as amateur sleuths. I look forward to what author Celeste Fenton brings readers next in this intriguing series, Mysteries of a Heart Series.
